HELP!
I’m going to be in Europe for up to 6 months (3/96 to 9/96), and I’d like to see if there is any
travel/health insurance that I can use while overseas. I’m currently on a COBRA plan and am trying to
switch to Blue Cross. Blue Cross has limited coverage while overseas, so I’m looking for additional
coverage.
Thanks.

You could try the AA Five Star Service personal cover.
The number from the UK is 0990 989 989.

I obtained a policy from Seabury and Smith when I went to Indonesia.
There was an existing condition exclusion which was waved for the
emergency medical evacuation coverage which was what I was most
interested in. 800-282-4495. Mine was a short term policy (2 weeks)
but I think they have longer ones. Make sure you know what coverage
you really need. Many European countries are more progressive in
health coverage than the US.

Peter, without a doubt you should contact the Diabetic Association
in whichever area you live. They would be able to give you the inform-
ation you need.

Unfortunately, Peter, you have apparently not entered a legitimate return
e-mail address. Therefore, replies to you come back as bounced mail. If
you are monitoring this board, please e-mail me *directly* including a
complete return address, so that I can provide some info on what is, for
us, a mutual problem.
