If either your triglycerides is more than 150 mg/dl or your blood
sugar is more than 100 mg/dl, you may have metabolic syndrome (MetS).
A low HDL is also considered in the diagnosis. Your LDL can be normal
and you still could have MetS.

At 6′, your "ideal" body weight may be 160 lbs so that you might be
actually 40 pounds over "ideal."

This is likely achievable the closer you can get to and maintain your
"ideal" body weight.

Exercise is a good thing provided you don’t sustain an injury.
Losing weight permanently is what can "cure" your MetS.
Would suggest you ask your doctor about the 2PD Approach:

The latter.

So did you. So I have no idea what you are talking about. Nevertheless, the
site does indicate that he is board certified. Whereas you said
"The AMA tags his status as NOT board certified."
Which was untrue.

Why is this name calling needed? Could you point me to where the AMA tags a
warning onto his claim of board certification? I don’t believe this is true.
In any case you said "The AMA tags his status as NOT board certified." which
was untrue. The site says he is board certified in internal medicine. And as
far as I can see it does not say that he is not board certified in anything
else or that he is.

Nice job, Chris. Good to note that it’s your opinions here about his
useful information (except about nutrition and caloric usage?) and
that he’s "well respected" in the cardiology newsgroup. As you know,
not too many hold that same series of opinions.
And is his Fake FAQ a response to trolls or his religious convictions
coming out? As for trolling, few are as accomplished as Chung when he
posts messages for the "convenience" of others across several
newsgroups with the clear intent to embarrass people. Few troll as
well as he has with his macro messages repeated scores of times. His
phony FAQ which he posts and then replies to, praising himself and the
"anonymous" authors (!) who wrote it. A spamming troll himself is Chung.
His "sincerely held" religious beliefs are a bludgeon in his unloving
hands. He tries to use them to insult and demean others.
Beyond all that, his fakery and persistent error in discussing
nutritional questions clearly show him to be less than qualified and
less than honest.
He has created the setting and the environment for his being
criticized by his own actions. Your sneering "analysis" is just as
bizarre and self-serving as Chung’s relentless display of hubris.

I believe the misspelling is intentional as a means of "hiding" his
posts from folks in SMC.
What he doesn’t seem to realize is that he can’t hide from God.

He’s also a flipping idiot about diet, which we’ve had cause to observe in
the diabetes newsgroups in the past. And given his triggering behavior
towards the trolls, they’re not the only ones who’ve found something to give

Truth is simple.
Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.
Some people hate the truth.
For this they will remain in my prayers to God, in Christ’s name.
May they still someday accept Christ as their personal Lord and
Savior, so that they too will have eternal life and the unimaginable

COMMENT:
Yes, truth is simple if you just label anything you feel an
"observation" and decide that makes it objectively real. But at this
point with you blathering about Jesus there’s no difference between
you and any quack talking about energy auras. You’re off your rocker.

Truth is independent of either our observations or judgments.

Reality check here, Mr. Chung is not followed by his critics, he adds
newsgroups to messages originating in one group and intrudes into those he
adds. If he gets critical response it is because he went to groups by
crossposting at the action of his own hands. Most of the critical
reaction is not religious at first, it is when he at first critical
reaction claims to be a victum because of his religious sig lines, he is
the one who brings religion into the discussion. This is often a
deflection ploy when he wants to avoid the central point of a message
where he comes out seond best. Then his forced use of religion as an now
absurb excuse for his boorish web behavior becomes the theme. Some people
accept him as victum and then react in defense, something on which he
counts in order to make the deflection ploy work. Even those who hold
equally stron religious faith get the same response from him, which makes
it by definition a lie on his part. Just to set the record straight.
