Discussion of diabetes management in day to day life

insurance

I have a brittle diabetes and would like to try an insulin pump.
My endo. told that he does not do pumps, but insulin pump probably
could help me. I talked with several other endo. in my HMO but none
of them do insulin pumps. Can anyone give me advice what to do in
this situation. By the way my A1c is good and usually around 7.
My health insurance is AETNA "Select choice".

Thanks.
Mike.

I suggest you contact the pump mfr of your choice (I happen to have
Mini-Med’s number handy 1-800-933-3322) and ask to speak to or meet with
one of their reps. They might be able to work with your endo to make this
happen for you. I have Aetna Managed Choice which paid for my pump 100%
