Discussion of diabetes management in day to day life

Daily Reading up

I take my insulin in the morning 66 units. The morning reading is always 235 to
247. I have change to eating  a light dinner by 7 pm. In the morning the
readings have been high in the above range.    The reading before my dinner
meal has been around 107 -120

It sounds like you are injecting Humulin N  or Novolin N,   also known as
NPH insulin,  otherwise known as Insulatard in some countries.

If so,  you are using a very old-fashioned and very dangerous injection
pattern.      NPH insulin wears off in about 12 hours.    It sounds like you
inject NPH in the morning,  it wears off sometime during the day, then your
blood sugars rise to those extraordinarily dangerous levels in the morning.

You need insulin training,  you need a doctor with more knowledge of
    diabetes therapies.

We might be able to offer some advice if you could be more specific about
    your therapies,  such as:

       1.   Are you a Type 1 or a Type 2 diabetic?

       2.  Exactly which type of insulin are you injecting?

       3.  What kind of diabetes pills do you take?

       4.  What are your blood sugars at 2 hours after eating?   (About the most
important blood sugars after the morning fasting blood sugar)
