I am trying to relate my OT Basic readings to lab values. I called
Lifescan and learned the following:
– lab value should be 12% higher than finger-stick value
FS = LAB/1.12
– meter "variance" (their word) is 20% max
.8*METER <= FS <= 1.2*METER
Using these two relations, I get
.9*METER <= LAB <= 1.33*METER
QUESTION: Words like "standard deviation" weren’t mentioned (and I forgot
to ask). Does this seem to be consistent with what others have found to be
the case? Is there a better analysis available?
Thanks,
Warren
BTW, Lifescan said that if FS > 1.2*METER, they would send me a new meter.
